Two Hamilton residents have been charged in connection with several break-ins at businesses in Halton Region.

Police say two people broke into an office building on Bronte St. South in Milton around 10 p.m. on Sept. 28.

The thieves stole several electronic devices including laptop computers.

Police say the duo then broke into other businesses in the attached building where cash, keys, identification documents and credit cards belonging to employees were stolen.

Later that night, the stolen credit cards were used at numerous businesses in Hamilton.

On Oct. 8, police believe the same two suspects were responsible for break-ins at an office building on Argus Rd. in Oakville and a nearby family doctor’s office where medication was stolen.

Investigators executed a search warrant at a Hamilton home and seized multiple items including stolen laptops, credit cards and electronics.

Thomas Laroche, 40, and Penny Hicks, 50, were arrested on Tuesday. They both face several charges including break and enter and commit an indictable offence and fail to comply with release order.
