2 dead after crash Monday morning in Haldimand County

Two men are dead and a third suffered critical injuries in a two-vehicle crash Monday morning in Haldimand County.

The intersection of Highway 6 and 5th line is still closed south of Caledonia at the time of this post.

Just before 2 a.m Monday morning a pick-up truck with three people inside collided with a tractor trailer.

Paramedics say the pickup truck caught on fire. Two people in the front seat were killed. A 25 year-old man in the back seat was trapped until he was removed by firefighters.

He suffered critical injuries.

A collision reconstruction team will be working on the investigation for several hours.
