2 arrests made, 2 suspects still wanted in a series of Waterdown business break-ins

Hamilton police say that a wanted federal offender is one of two people arrested thus far in a string of commercial break and enters in Waterdown as they continue to search for an additional two suspects.

Officers initially received reports of several break-ins into businesses in the Waterdown area along Dundas Street East between Hamilton Street and Highway 6, Flamborough in the evening hours of June 24 into the early morning of June 25.

Two suspects have now been positively identified by police and one has been linked to a series of similar break and enters throughout the city in July and August.

On August 18, one of the suspects pictured in security footage entered a commercial establishment where police would be alerted.

As a result of this report of a sighting of the suspect, Paul St. Pierre was arrested and now faces seven charges in connection with the investigation.

At the time of his arrest, St. Pierre was wanted on a Canada Wide Parole Revocation Warrant. He has since appeared in court and his bail was opposed.

A second suspect, a 43-year-old woman from Hamilton was also arrested and charged for her role. She will appear in court on September 14.

Detectives continue to look to identify two additional suspects in the break and enter investigation.

The first unidentified suspect is described as a white female with a thin build and light coloured hair.

The second suspect is described as a white male with an average build and possible tattoos on the back of each of his calves.
