2 arrested after victim hides in Niagara Falls motel bathroom during knifepoint robbery

Niagara police say two people have been arrested following a knifepoint robbery in Niagara Falls.
Officers were called to a motel in the area of Main St. and Allendale Ave. around 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
Police say a 24-year-old man was staying at the motel with a 27-year-old woman.
They say when the man returned to his room after going for a walk, he could not open the door and the woman would not let him inside.
Motel management eventually let him into the room where he was met by an unknown man who threatened him with a knife.
The victim ran to the motel bathroom, locked himself inside and called police.
The armed man stole multiple items from the victim and then fled the area with the woman before police arrived on scene.
Officers located the suspects nearby and placed them under arrest. Police also seized fentanyl, crystal meth and Percocets.
Peter Blaker, 36, of Niagara Falls has been charged with uttering threats, robbery and possession of a schedule I substance of trafficking.
Kayla Wade, 27, of Thorold faces one count of robbery.
