17-year-old girl in hospital following shooting in Brantford: police

Brantford police are investigating an overnight shooting that left a teenage girl in hospital.

Police say a 17-year-old girl arrived at Brantford General Hospital with a gunshot wound around 3 a.m. Wednesday. Her injuries are considered serious.

Police say their investigation led them to the area of Waterloo St. and Pearl St. in Brantford.

Officers will be on scene for much of the morning and say more information will be released when it’s available.
