16-year-old driver charged in single-vehicle rollover: Hamilton police

Hamilton police say a 16-year-old boy has been charged after a single-vehicle crash sent four people to hospital.
Police say a car was travelling down McNeilly Rd. around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday when it left the roadway and rolled over.
Three passengers, all aged 15, and the 16-year-old driver were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police say the driver’s injuries were initially thought to be serious but his condition was upgraded.
The road was closed for several hours as crews working to remove the vehicle from the tree line beside the road.
Police say the driver did not hold the proper licence to be operating the vehicle and he was charged with careless driving and class M2 licence holder – drive unauthorized vehicle.
