13-year-old boy charged after shooting two people with pellet gun in Brantford

Brantford police say a 13-year-old boy has been charged after shooting two people with a pellet gun.

On Thursday, May 5 at around 12:00 p.m., officers were called to the area of Brant Avenue and Icomm Drive.

Police say investigation revealed that, in the area of Brant Avenue and Church Street, a 13-year-old boy allegedly shot a 16-year-old boy in the back with a pellet gun.

The 13-year-old then fled the area, where he travelled to an Icomm Drive location and allegedly shot a second victim, a 14-year-old boy, with the pellet gun.

Officers found the boy and the pellet gun shortly after.

Both victims received minor physical injuries.

The 13-year-old boy from Brantford stands charged with two counts of assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

As per the Youth Criminal Justice Act, the identity of the boy in this incident will not be released.
