Child benefit cheque

The Federal government’s new child benefit cheques start arriving in bank accounts and mail boxes today. The money replaces the Universal Child Care Benefit, the Canada Child Tax Benefit and the National Child Benefit Supplement.
The new, non-taxable benefit is expected to mean more money for many households, but less for others. How much you receive is based on the number of children in the household and your net family income.
