The 88th Academy Awards took place last night, and among the winners were Leonardo Dicaprio, who won best actor for his role in “the Revenant”.  Brie Larson won best actress for her role in “Room.” And the best picture went to “spotlight”.  Each of these winners have a connection Canada, with “Spotlight” being filmed right here, in Hamilton.
