10 new cases of rabies have been found in Hamilton, that makes a total to 25 cases in the province since early December.

The head of wildlife research with the Ministry of Natural Resources says 10 new cases in Hamilton were officially diagnosed on Tuesday and they expect to find more cases, as they continue testing dead raccoons for the virus.

The province’s first outbreak of rabies in a decade was discovered after two dogs got into a fight with a sick raccoon in the back of an animal services van in Hamilton.
