Fatal crash in downtown Hamilton

A driver is dead after a crash involving a car and tour bus.

It happened on James Street South near Bold Street in Hamilton yesterday afternoon, right by the Go station. The front of the car was badly damaged and the driver of the car was pronounced dead on the scene. The bus had some damage as well, including a smashed windshield but no one on the bus was hurt.

The crash closed James Street between Hunter and Bold for hours yesterday as police looked into what exactly caused the crash. So far those details have not been released.
