The fate of Constable James Forcillo will soon be in the hands of the jury. The Toronto cop has pleaded not guilty to second degree murder and attempted murder in the shooting death of 18-year old Sammy Yatim on a Toronto street car in July of 2013.

The judge told the jury they have to decide whether they believe Constable James Forcillo intended to kill Sammy Yatim or whether he did it to protect himself and the public. The jury is expected to begin deliberations later this week.
