$100K reward for violent bank robbers

Canadian bankers are willing to give a lot of money to stop thieves who’ve been able to take a lot of money from area banks during a string of violent robberies.
Two men, armed with handguns have robbed one bank per month in a spree that began in August. They’ve hit banks in Halton, Peel, Hamilton, and Waterloo.
Police say the gunmen take over the banks, force employees into the vault, lock the doors – then fill duffel bags with money, and escape on foot. Video from bank surveillance cameras show clear images of the two suspects and police are hoping that the men will be easily identified.
The Canadian Bankers Association has put up a $100,000 reward for information that will lead to an arrest, and conviction of the pair. But unlike Crime Stoppers, anonymous tips will not qualify for the substantial award.
Anyone who thinks they might be able to identify the thieves, can either call Halton Regional Police at 905 825-4747 x2204, or send an e-mail to robbery@haltonpolice.ca.
You can also call Halton Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 – but information provided anonymously, is not eligible for the $100,000 reward.
Detectives were not available to discuss either the robberies or the reward – but it’s clear from the video that the suspects do have guns and are dangerous.
