1 person seriously injured in shooting at St. Catharines home

A 24-year-old man is in hospital with serious injuries following a shooting in a St. Catharines neighbourhood Thursday afternoon.
Niagara police received a report of a potential shooting shortly after 12 p.m. at a home on Princess Ann Circle, near Glendale and Glenridge avenues.
Paramedics transported the man to an out-of-region hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
Investigators searched the area Thursday but have yet to find a suspect.
In an update Friday, police describe the suspect as a South Asian male who was wearing a blue toque and dark jacket at the time of the shooting.
Anyone with surveillance video between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Thursday or who has further information about this shooting is asked to contact detectives at 905-688-4111 ext. 1024233.

We are currently conducting a police investigation on Princess Ann Circle (Glenridge/Glendale) in St. Catharines. There is a heavy police presence.
The public is asked to stay out of the area.
