1 person in stable condition after stabbing in Hamilton’s east end

Hamilton police say a man is in stable condition after being stabbed in the back Thursday in the city’s east end.
Officers say a man entered a business in the area of Kinrade Avenue and Barton Street East around 1:15 p.m. asking for help after being stabbed in the back.
Paramedics transported the victim, a 39-year-old man from Hamilton, to hospital in stable condition. He is described as a white man who was wearing dark clothing, including a dark hooded jacket, and had a dark-coloured bicycle.
Investigators say they do not have a suspect description at this time.

Residents in the area of Cannon Street East and Barton Street East between Ruth and Kinrade streets are asked to check their video footage between 12:30 p.m. and 1:15 p.m. on Thursday.
