1 dead following plane crash near Brantford airport

A person has died following a small plane crash in Brant County.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say it happened on a private property east of Brantford Municipal Airport on Monday night.

Police say one person was taken to hospital where they were later pronounced dead.

The victim’s identity has not been released.

Investigators with the Transportation Safety Board will be in Brant County on Tuesday looking into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
