One person is dead and another person is in hospital following a two-vehicle crash in Caledonia, Ont., early Thursday morning.

It happened shortly before 8 a.m. on Haldimand County Highway 54.

Ontario Provincial Police say a 22-year-old Caledonia resident died at the scene. Paramedics transported the driver of the other vehicle to hospital with minor injuries.

Haldimand County Highway 54 was closed between McClung and Abbey roads for a police investigation.
