Hamilton police have confirmed to CHCH News that charges have been laid in connection with an incident involving a flamethrower that happened yesterday.

Emergency crews were dispatched to a home on Magnolia Drive, between the Linc and Mohawk Road West, Thursday morning.

On scene, several police officers were confronted by a woman in distress, who allegedly charged at them with a flamethrower.

Four officers were treated for smoke inhalation following the incident.

This morning, police said charges had been laid against the woman, including arson, assault, and mischief.
