‘Can’t afford to do this on the backs of property taxpayers’: St. Catharines mayor welcomes housing funds

First Published:

St. Catharines mayor Mat Siscoe sat down with Annette Hamm to discuss housing.

The city is getting $2.3 million from the Ontario government’s Building Faster Fund for meeting its housing target, which will help get more homes built and give people a place to live.

Speaking on giving people a place to live, St. Catharines is also pushing for more homeless shelters since the one they built is getting a lot of positive feedback and helping to keep encampments out.
