Burlington resident charged after 1 person dies in collision: OPP

Ontario Provincial Police say a Burlington resident has been charged after a collision in Kearney, Ont. that killed one person.

Emergency crews responded to the side-by-side crash on Rain Lake Road shortly before 5 p.m. on Saturday.

Police say four people were involved in the crash.

Two people from Hamilton aged 36 and 40 did not require any medical attention and a 39-year-old from Hamilton was taken to the hospital where they succumbed to their injuries.

Officers have charged 35-year-old Julian Desrochers of Burlington with operation causing death and impaired operation.

The accused was held for bail on Sunday at the Ontario Court of Justice.
