Burlington man wanted in sexual assault and choking investigation

UPDATE: Toronto Police say the man surrendered to police on Wednesday.

A 23-year-old Burlington man is wanted in a sexual assault and choking investigation.

Toronto police say they responded to a call in the area of Sentinel and Pond road around 3:40 Sunday afternoon.

A 22-year old woman says a man known to her threatened to release private information unless she paid him money. She was then sexually assaulted and assaulted and the man fled.

Seth Ramanand is wanted for two counts of sexual assault, two counts of overcome resistance by choking, assault, two counts of extortion, and mischief under $5,000.


Ramanand has a rose tattooed on his shoulders, the letter ‘V’ tattooed on his right elbow, “1997” on his left wrist, and two skeletons tattooed on his abdomen.

He may be driving a 2020 black Jaguar F-Pace SUV with licence BZFN 807.

Police say anyone who sees Ramanand should not approach him and call 911 immediately.
