Bullet holes found in vehicle set ablaze in Georgetown: Halton police

Halton police have launched an investigation after bullet holes were found in a vehicle fully engulfed in flames in Georgetown early Friday morning.

Police were called to the area of Trafalgar Road and 15 Side Road around 2 a.m. for reports of a vehicle fully engulfed in flames.

Initial investigations led to the discovery of shell casings and multiple bullet holes on the vehicle.

There was no one found inside the vehicle and at this time there are not any injuries believed to be linked to the incident that have been reported to police.

Investigators believe this to be a targeted incident and say there have been no arrests made thus far.

Officers say that the flames did not spread beyond the vehicle and that it was quickly extinguished by the Halton Hills Fire Department.
