Brief lockdown at all-girls private Oakville school lifted, no arrests or injuries

An all-girls private school in Oakville was put into lockdown briefly Wednesday.
St. Mildred’s-Lightbourn School on Linbrook Road went into lockdown amid a police investigation around 11:30 a.m.
Police were on scene at the time and said that there were no injuries to report.

The lockdown was lifted shortly after 12 p.m.
What prompted the lockdown remains unclear at this time, but authorities say no arrests were made in connection with the emergency measure.
The school has approximately 550 students and runs from pre-school to Grade 12.
