Brantford police officer charged with obstructing justice

A Brantford police officer has been charged with obstructing justice.

The five-year member of the force was charged by Brantford police on March 8, 2023 and has a court appearance scheduled for Nov. 19.

The charge comes after an investigation into the officer’s conduct related to an incident on Sept. 21, 2022.

The officer was suspended one month later with pay.

Police say the suspension remains in effect pending the outcome of the court case.
