Brantford police make an arrest in drug investigation

Brantford police have arrested a 36-year-old man in relation to a drug trafficking investigation on Thursday.

Investigators carried out a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a location on Charlotte St. and found multiple drug related items.

These include suspected cocaine, money, drug packaging materials, prohibited weapons and several cell phones.

Officers say the man also had some of these drug-related items in his possession at the time of the arrest.

The 36-year-old Brantford man is facing charges for three counts of possession contrary to prohibition order and possession for the purpose of trafficking.

The accused has been held for bail and his name was not released.
