Boxing Day: what’s open and closed

Here’s a look at what’s open and closed in our area on Boxing Day:

CLOSED: 

• Administrative offices
• Canada Post offices
• Banks (some may also be closed Dec. 28)
• LCBO
• Ontario Works
• The Housing Service Office (350 King St. E)
• Hamilton Farmer’s Market

Hamilton Civic Museums and Recreation centres are all closed due to the provincial shutdown.

OPEN:

• Some restaurants (curbside pick-up and delivery only)
• Some grocery stores
• Some beer stores
• Most convenience stores
• Malls (may only have curbside pick-up due to provincial shutdown)

Transit

HSR will be operating on a Saturday schedule. Select routes will not be running.

Niagara Region Transit and St. Catharines Transit will be running on a holiday schedule.

Oakville Transit and Burlington Transit will be operating on a Sunday schedule.
