Body found in Port Dalhousie has been identified

First Published:

Niagara police say the body found in the water near the Heywood Generating Station in Port Dalhousie last week has been identified as 37-year-old Katrina Blagdon.

Blagdon had been missing since New Year’s Eve at 6 p.m. The family was notified by a family friend on New Year’s Day.

The 37-year-old is the mother of two boys and was living in St. Catharines.

Earlier today a Facebook post from a group dedicated to finding Katrina said some of their group found a missing duvet and sleeping bag in Twelve Mile Creek next to the Welland Vale bridge.

Blagdon’s body was positively identified today. Police say foul play is not suspected.
