Biden signs bill for possible TikTok ban in U.S.

First Published:

U.S. president Joe Biden signed a bill today that could lead to a nationwide TikTok ban.

Congress had passed the bill this week as part of a wide-ranging foreign aid package.

The legislation poses the most serious risk to TikTok’s existence in the country since U.S. officials began raising concerns about the app in 2020.

Its CEO has vowed to challenge the ban in court, calling it “unconstitutional.”
