Beamsville man, 25, charged with child pornography offences

A 25-year-old Beamsville man is facing several child pornography charges.
Last month, Niagara police launched an investigation into people in the region using the internet to exploit children.
Detectives carried out a search warrant Thursday at a home in Beamsville, where they identified an “anonymous” account on the Kik Messenger app that contained explicit sexual content of children.
Hunter Beaupre-Peters was arrested and charged with possessing child pornography, accessing child pornography and making child pornography available.
Beaupre-Peters was held in custody and scheduled to appear for a bail hearing Thursday in a St. Catharines courthouse.
