Bar fight in St. Catharines in October leads to four arrests

Four residents of St. Catharines have been arrested in connection with a violent assault at a bar in October that left one man with serious injuries.

Niagara Regional Police say the incident happened around 2:15 a.m. on Oct. 11 at Canucks Ale House on Carlton Street.

The victim had just engaged in conversation with a man and woman at the bar when the man allegedly punched the victim in the face.

Two other men reportedly joined in punching the victim and he fell to the floor where he was repeatedly kicked, stomped, punched, and had a bar stool thrown at him.

Police say the victim continued to be assaulted even when knocked unconscious and a woman allegedly stole approximately $300 from his wallet while he was lying unconscious on the floor.

No one called police or paramedics on the night of the incident and the victim had to seek medical treatment on his own for injuries police are describing as “serious.”

Investigators were able to make four arrests in relation to this incident.

Christopher William Redmond, 37, of St. Catharines was arrested on Dec. 23 and charged with assault causing bodily harm and failure to comply with a release order.

On Dec. 24, two additional suspects turned themselves in at the Niagara police headquarters in Niagara Falls.

Taylor Timothy Roy Cronkwright, 31, of St. Catharines was arrested and charged with assault causing bodily harm.

Brooklyn Kyle Mayer, 29, of St. Catharines was also arrested and charged with assault causing bodily harm and aggravated assault.

And lastly, Shevon Tamara Sadler, 29, of St. Catharines was arrested on Dec. 26 and charged with theft under $5,000.
