‘Around the Bay’ takes over Hamilton

The 120th edition of the oldest road race in North America took over Hamilton this morning. Almost nine thousand runners completed the 30k Around the Bay, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for St. Joseph’s Healthcare.

The hospital is celebrating its 10th anniversary. By partnering with Around the Bay, it’s hoping to raise $400,000 for patient care and research.

By Sunday morning, the total raised was $385,000, but the goal is still within reach. For another month you can still sponsor a runner or send a donation via a text message.
