Trust account set up for Bold St fire victims

The neighborhood surrounding a Hamilton apartment building that was destroyed by a fire has set up a fund to help displaced residents.
The Durand Neighborhood Association and councillor Jason Farr launched the fund yesterday for the residents of 27 Bold St. The building was destroyed by a fire a week ago, and left about 30 people homeless.
So far the fund has raised $26,000, which will be distributed among the 17 apartment owners.
The tenants are currently staying with family or friends, or at the Staybridge Suites hotel.
You can donate at any branch of the First Ontario Credit Union, account 673606.
