Niagara cops want assault suspects

Niagara Police need your help in finding a couple involved in a vicious, unprovoked attack over the weekend.
It put a St Catharines motel manager in hospital with multiple fractures to his leg, after police say he was intentionally injured by a hit and run driver. It happened outside Canada’s Best Value Inn on Ontario St near the QEW around 2:30 Saturday morning.
Police say the man was driving and he had a woman in the passenger seat. The victim was being pinned against the motel wall by the car. After the victim was hit several times the couple drove off in their car.
Constable Derek Watson: “We believe this male intentionally hit the victim and then took off. There were pieces of car left behind. We believe it’s a dark coloured or a grey Chrysler 200. If anybody knows somebody who might have a vehicle like that with some recent front end damage we’d certainly appreciate a call.”
Police are looking for a man described as hispanic looking, short and about 200 pounds.
The woman he was with is also described as hispanic. She’s about five foot six and about 125 pounds. Police don’t think they live in Niagara.
