Oakville gets an Edge

Great news for Oakville’s Ford plant. It’s been selected to assemble the all-new Edge.
It’ll be shipped from there to 60 countries. Ford spent $700 million to upgrade the Oakville plant so it can manufacture vehicles on a global platform, or basic underbody.
The federal and Ontario governments are contributing about $140 million worth of financial assistance to the project. The expansion secures 2800 jobs at the plant, which also produces the Ford Flex along with the Lincoln MKX and MKT.
