Hearing set for temple arson suspects

A preliminary hearing has been set for three men accused in the 2001 arson of a Hindu temple in Hamilton.

Damien Marsh, 34, was in court his morning. He is charged with arson and mischief as are Christopher Pollard and Scott Ryan, both 33 years old.

Their preliminary hearing will take place on March 18th.

The men are accused of burning down the Hindu Samaj temple just days after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. It’s believed the arson was racially motivated and that they intended to target a mosque.
