Weather partly blamed for Pan Am stadium delay

Construction on Hamilton’s new Pan Am stadium is about two weeks behind schedule.

The cold weather and issues with a masonry contractor are the major factors behind the problem. The contractor went into receivership, leaving the builders to search for a replacement.

Extra crews are being brought in and workers are putting in extra time to try to catch up.
The $119 million stadium is slated to open for the Ticats 2014 season.
