Sex assault on Cochrane Road

Hamilton police say they’re investigating a sexual assault, that took place last Thursday in the King Street East and Cochrane Road area.

They say it happened just before 9pm. A woman was walking near the intersection when the suspect approached her from behind. They struggled, the woman fell to the ground and was sexually assaulted. The suspect ran away. He’s described as being a white, in his 40’s, about six feet tall. He was wearing a long black hooded coat with dark pants and dress shoes. Police say they are interviewing witnesses and reviewing video surveillance footage from the area.
