Search for missing teacher scaled back

Durham Police and volunteers are scaling back their search after no clues turned up in the search for a missing Whitby man, who hasn’t been seen for a week.

Police say several kilometres around the home of Jeffrey Boucher, 52, were checked again to make sure nothing was missed. The high school teacher vanished, after it’s presumed he went out for one of his usual morning jogs.

Investigators say they aren’t ruling out any possibilities — including that Boucher may have simply “walked away” from his life, or met with foul play.
