One dead in Mississauga crash

There’s been a deadly two car crash in Mississauga.

Peel police described the collision as violent. It happened around 7:30 at the intersection of Erin Mills Parkway and Meadowvale Boulevard. Police say that after the cars hit each other, they then hit a light pole. A man in his 30’s inside one of the cars was pronounced dead at the scene. Four other patients were rushed to nearby hospitals. One of them was taken to a Toronto trauma centre. That person has serious injuries. Initial reports suggest one of the cars ran a red light. Roads were closed in the area for several hours while police investigated.
