High-speed chase after police interrupt break-in

Halton Police stumbled upon a break and enter overnight that turned into a high-speed chase.

Just after 2 am, police discovered a break-in in progress at “Supplement King”, a business located on Brant Street between the QEW and the 407 in Burlington.

The thieves, who were armed with handguns, fled in a stolen silver-coloured 2000 Honda Civic.

Police pursued the vehicle at high speed onto the 403 into Hamilton, where it exited at Main Street.

The chase was called off at that point, and the car disappeared.

Hamilton Police have now taken over the search for the stolen car.  There’s no word on whether anything was taken during the break and enter.
