Teen hit by car in downtown Hamilton

A 14 year old boy is in hospital after being hit by a car in downtown Hamilton Monday morning.

Hamilton police were called to Main Street West and James Street South around 8am. Police say a 65 year old man was driving south on James Street and had a green light. They say the boy was hit on the cross walk while the “do not walk” was lit up. He is expected to be okay.

Police are still interviewing witnesses to determine if charges will be laid.
