Converting Wentworth into two-way

Pedestrians will soon be looking both ways when crossing Wentworth street. City council has approved the conversion of Wentworth to allow two-way traffic from the industrial waterfront all the way to the escarpment.
Councillor Matthew Green earned council support last night, emphasizing neighbourhood support and a history of consultation stretching back to the late former councillor Bernie Morelli.
The city had already approved the conversion from one-way traffic between Delaware Avenue to King Street East, but the new motion covers the remaining portion.
The conversion could cost the city up to a quarter million dollars.
