There was relief after some tense hours in Barrie, after a young girl had been abducted at gunpoint. The abduction happened late Saturday morning in downtown Barrie. Police say a man with a large build got out of a grey Dodge Magnum and pointed a gun at the girl. The man and a woman in the passenger seat ordered the girl into the car just before noon. It’s unclear how old the victim is, but police say it appeared she was under 18. Barrie police tweeted just before 4:30 Saturday evening stating that the girl had been found safe. The two suspects were arrested.
