Man dies on QEW in Mississauga

A police investigation has blocked two lanes of the westbound QEW past Dixie Road through the height of the morning rush.

Peel Regional Police are investigating why a man in his early twenties fell from the nearby overpass.

OPP began forcing traffic into the far left lane just after 4 a.m.

The man died when he was hit by a transport truck. The coroner has been called to investigate and the transport truck won’t be removed until that happens.

The ramp to the westbound QEW at Dixie is also closed.
