Niagara police are asking for the public’s help in the hunt for the person who attacked and killed Richard Doucet. The 49-year old Welland man was getting ready to leave a neighbourhood bar early Sunday morning when there was a confrontation outside.

Friends say Richard doucet was a quiet, homebody who lived with his parents on Simpson Avenue in Welland. He died hours after being attacked around 2am Sunday outside near the patio at the Golden Brothers bar.

Police are appealing for witnesses, there would have been a number of people inside the building and out on the patio and parking lot at that hour. They are hoping someone can tell them how Richard Doucet was fatally injured.
