Hamilton police say there is no concern for public safety after they responded to a gun call near Gage Park this afternoon.

Police say they received reports around 2pm of a man armed with a handgun entering an apartment at 430 Cumberland Avenue.

Police say the gun was a replica pellet gun, and they are now with the man who was spotted.
