Hamilton Police say there is no concern for public safety after they responded to a gun call near Gage Park this afternoon.

Police say they received reports around two o’clock of a man armed with a handgun entering an apartment at 430 Cumberland Ave.

Police say the gun was a replica pellet gun, and they are now with the man who was spotted. Residents were advised to stay indoors, but officials say there are no longer any concerns for people in the area.
