Burlington reaches tentative labour deals
The city of Burlington appears to have avoided a transit strike.
The city announced last night that a tentative agreement has been reached with the transit workers in CUPE Local 2723. A ratification meeting will be held on July 5.
Earlier in the day a tentative agreement was also reached between the city and outside workers and arena/outdoor pool operators, represented by CUPE Local 44. A ratification meeting on that agreement will be held July 2.
