Milton school mourns teen killed in motorcycle crash

A teenage boy is dead after a motorcycle crash in Milton.

Bishop Reding Secondary School in Milton has identified the teen as Karan Barry, 17.

Halton police say the teen lost control of a motorcycle on Maple Ave, north of Main St E, just after 3 pm yesterday. The bike flipped, and Barry was killed instantly.

The school issued this statement in light of the grade 12 student’s death: “Karan will be remembered by his friends and classmates, and by our staff as being a quiet, confident leader.”

The school says it will lower its flag to half-mast for the remainder of the week.
