Serial arsonist feared

Police in both Hamilton & Niagara are asking people to be extra vigilant as they face the possibility of a serial arsonist.

Even as they ask residents of West Lincoln and Glanbrook to immediately report any suspicious people or vehicles, they’ve identified two vehicles that might be connected to a rash of fires in the area.

One is a small black pickup truck that was seen after midnight near a fire on March 15th.  The other is an older white Ford Escape with black bumpers that was seen near a fire in the same area back in November 2013.

At least ten fires are being investigated in west Niagara and Glanbrook, including four fires in barns and sheds as well as a vacant house this past weekend.  Other fires took place in the same area in mid-March and during a two-day period of November 2013.
